Thanks to all that entered and particular congratulations to Jens Munthe who won both competitions! He now wins 2 x weekly TennisRatings Daily Spreadsheet subscriptions!

With the French Open starting in a few days time, I thought it would be a good idea to create the inaugural ‘TennisRatings Fantasy Tennis’ competition!

Entry is free, and with the chance to win a TennisRatings Daily Spreadsheet subscription, what have you got to lose by taking part?!
The aim of the game, as with any Fantasy sports game, is to get the most points. There are two competitions, one for the ATP and one for the WTA. The player with the most points in each competition wins a free weekly subscription to the TennisRatings Daily Spreadsheets. If an existing subscriber wins either competition, the extra time will be credited to their subscription.

All you have to do is pick one player from each of the ten player categories and that’s your team. Each participant can enter one team for the ATP and one team for the WTA. The participant with the most points at the end of the French Open wins!

Points are scored in the following way:-

Beating a player in the top 10: 50 points
Beating a player ranked 11-20: 35 points
Beating a player ranked 21-50: 25 points
Beating a player ranked 51-100: 15 points
Beating a player ranked 101+: 5 points
Winning in straight sets (WTA): 15 point bonus
Winning in straight sets (ATP): 25 point bonus
Losing by retirement: -25 points

Please email your team (one player from each of the ten categories) to [email protected] before the deadline of 9am UK time on Monday, 27th May, 2013. If you have selected a player that subsequently withdraws from the competition before they play their first match, you can replace him with a player from the same category provided they haven’t already played a match.
